The River Garden
Since 1850, The Red House has been a landmark site for people to sit outside and enjoy a drink and soak up the spectacular view of the River Dee and lowland meadows.
The sloping riverbank garden with extensive timber decking areas provides a glorious sun trap for visitors to sit back, relax and enjoy the theatre of river life – from avid rowers and swimmers to the sightings of kingfishers, swans and many others. Even on a cool day you can enjoy the view and accompanying sunsets from inside the 100 foot plus, two storey glass gallery.
There’s even a River Taxi Service from our pontoon should one fancy a trip into town, by arrangement with Chester Boat.
Come down and see for yourself!
